Holiday Readathon

This is one of the shorter Readathon's I have attended so my only goal is to finish reading Breakfast with Tiffany (a book I have to read for school) and hopefully enter some challenges posted on other blogs.

Wonderfully Wicked Read-A-Thon Wrap Up

So I didn't post as frequently as I had wanted to, because my teachers decided that it would be fun to give us piles of homework before the end of the quarter. I did manage to meet my reading goal though, which made me happy!

Dark Days Tour!

The Time I Went To Another Book Tour...

When I saw the schedule for the Pitch Dark Days Tour I might have freaked out due to the fact that Ohio was one of the tour stops. No one ever comes to Ohio, so I was extremely excited. I might have squealed.
I live super close to where the tour was being held, but I was still late which was awkward. They hadn't started the event though, so that was good. I was surprised by the small amount of people who attended, but everyone there were bloggers, because they were all taking notes. Except for me.
My camera battery died before I could get a picture with Rae Carson. It made me sad, because I love her trilogy so much.

Here are some pictures from the tour!

Wonderfully Wicked Read-A-Thon

I always love chances to make a dent in my ever growing TBR stack. School is super time consuming, so I may not update very often, but I definitely will try.

My goal during these 10 days is to read at least 5-6 books and visit other peoples' blogs to see their goals & updates. I also want to participate in some challenges, but it all depends how much time I have.

So I went to my first book tour on Friday, which was the Fierce Reads tour, and I had an awesome time.
I probably should have taken some notes to share with you about what the authors discussed, but alas I did not.

Hope you enjoy! And if you are going, I hope you have a great time! :)

Tackle Your TBR Read-A-Thon

This is the first read-a-thon I have participated in, so I'm pretty excited to finally tackle my never ending growing stack of books! I have been SUPER busy with school lately, therefore I may not update very often. I barely had time to post this one.

My goal during these two weeks is to read at least 3-4 books and visit other peoples' blogs and see what they are reading. I also want to participate in some challenges because those look fun, but it all depends how much time I have.

Review: If I Should Die (Revenants #3) by Amy Plum

Author: Amy Plum
Series: Revenants Trilogy
Genre: YA, Fantasy/Paranormal, Romance
Release Date: May 7, 2013
Source: Borrowed from library
My Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

Summary From Goodreads:I will not lose another person I love. I will not let history repeat itself.
Vincent waited lifetimes to find me, but in an instant our future together was shattered. He was betrayed by someone we both called a friend, and I lost him. Now our enemy is determined to rule over France’s immortals, and willing to wage a war to get what they want.
It shouldn’t be possible, none of it should be, but this is my reality. I know Vincent is somewhere out there, I know he’s not completely gone, and I will do anything to save him.

After what we’ve already fought to achieve, a life without Vincent is unimaginable. He once swore to avoid dying—to go against his nature and forsake sacrificing himself for others—so that we could be together. How can I not risk everything to bring my love back to me?

Waiting on Wednesday #2

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine, that highlights upcoming releases we're anticipating.

So, today is Wednesday which means I get to share with all of you what books I'm looking forward to reading! Yayy! First of all a shout out to Infinityglass by Myra McEntire, happy release day!

The books on my mind this week are The Chaos of Stars and All Our Yesterdays. I wouldn't have known about these books if it weren't for the book bloggers on Twitter, thanks guys!

Author: Kiersten White
Series: None
Genre: YA, Fantasy, Mythology
Release Date: September 10, 2013
Summary From Goodreads:
Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.
Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.
Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

I loved Kiersten White's Paranormalcy series, so I'm super excited for this one and Mind Games. I'm a huge fan of mythology as well, so this one is definitely high up on my most anticipated reads list.

Author: Cristin Terrill
Series: All Our Yesterdays Duology
Genre: YA, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Romance
Release Date: September 3, 2013
Summary From Goodreads:
"You have to kill him." Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain.
Only Em can complete the final instruction. She’s tried everything to prevent the creation of a time machine that will tear the world apart. She holds the proof: a list she has never seen before, written in her own hand. Each failed attempt in the past has led her to the same terrible present—imprisoned and tortured by a sadistic man called the doctor while war rages outside.
Marina has loved her best friend James since the day he moved next door when they were children. A gorgeous, introverted science prodigy from one of America’s most famous families, James finally seems to be seeing Marina in a new way, too. But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles apart, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Now someone is trying to kill him. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it. At least not as the girl she once was.

All Our Yesterdays just looks amazing. A Sci-Fi fantasy romance? YES PLEASE.
